a-blinX picks up the blinking of the eyes to extend the possibilities of interaction of people with severe motor disabilities.
With it, it is possible to write and vocalize sentences in the TelepatiX app to communicate with the people around you.
To use any computer and browse the internet, write and even play using the blink of an eye, just connect a-blinX to Key-X – Multifunction Smart Keyboard.
Even without Key-X, it is possible to connect a-blinX directly to your computer and use specific software that works by scanning, like Windows Virtual Keyboard.
Admitted at the entrance exam in 2018, student Gabriel Vinícius spent 18 years with no autonomy due to Cerebral Palsy. ...
Despite having speech and body movements compromised by Cerebral Palsy, Daniel always enjoyed interacting. Born in 1997 ...
He is having a lot of fun. The equipment is very easy to use and he can already write the words correctly in his computer. You can see the joy in my son’s eyes.
During many years of Daniel’s school life, what made his life the hardest was the long time to do the activities, especially textual production. A syllabic chart was used for a long time where he nodded to the desired syllable and the support professional spelled the words. After that, we acquired a pointer that was placed on his head, but it was an inviable attempt. Nowadays he uses the Key-X keyboard that meets his needs, because with this resource he has full access to the computer, including the possibility to surf the web, use social networks, type texts, play games, and finally participate in computer classes, a class that’s part of the curriculum of Integrated High School Informatics.
Another fundamental advantage is that the physical effort required to use this keyboard is much smaller than that required by the head pointer.
To send his messages faster he uses another resource, the TelepatiX app installed on his tablet.
I can only thank the efforts, the commitment and the assistance of the Geraes company. May God illuminate the minds of every component of this company so that they may continue to collaborate to overcome obstacles and barriers that hinder the teaching and learning process of people with cerebral palsy, contributing to their inclusion.
